I would rather Louisiana avoid the costs (in lives and dollars) of incarcerating children until their midlife crises by investing the dollars in Therapeutic Juvenile Detention, and salvaging young lives and lifetimes. Our Constitution is already clear about the crimes that deserve adult sentences.
