I feel like RLS's The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is a response to CBT ideas. If I were still teaching English literature, I would approach it that way in the classroom.

Moby Dick is one of my favorites. The first time I read it I had just broken my arm and so required a lot of rest, so I'd read a bit and sleep a bit. I love a book with short chapters.
