These scenes may resemble the Upside Down, but what you’re seeing is the aftermath of the season’s first floodings.

Yesterday, our teams flooded a section of the #RideauCanal Skateway between Patterson Creek Bridge and Bank Street.

They use pumps to draw water from below the ice surface and help build the thickness needed to safely open the Skateway.
