I bring my #dhrwipwednesday snippet to you all… a completely unedited piece of the upcoming spooky story I’m working on.
In the fading bloodred-sunset light, the cliff edges are ragged, as if something had clawed and clawed until their fingers bled, dyeing the stone crimson. She attempts to swallow down the invasive thought, instead focusing on the edge, searching for any sign of a foot or handhold. The bridge looks to be a viable option as the length of it’s span is enough to leave the frayed edges dangling only a dozen feet or so above her reach. On a good day, one where her head didn’t throb in her skull and her legs didn’t feel bludgeoned, she might attempt it. But then again, when a rogue wind once again strikes up and she watches the remnants flutter like ribbons on the breeze, she thinks that even on a good day, she might not attempt it. The rotted wood planks sound like shattering bones against the sheer cliff side. Sucking in a breath, she follows the cliff with her gaze, that her landing point is the start of a funnel, and the edges fade off into the distance. With no place to go up and

I missed #dhrwipwednesday, but it’s not stopping me from posting my Dramione spooky fic snippet. (Listen, I was excited about it, I’m still going to post it.)

She later blames it on why she didn’t notice the creaking beginning again, a slow medley growing steadily. When she stops before a gently swaying suspended bridge, the sound grows to a fever pitch. Steeling herself with a deep inhale, she turns. There, amongst the softly upturned hills of permafrost and moss, the small banks are dotted with pairs of eyes staining back at her from the gloom.”

I’m bringing this over here! For my first attempt at a horror/magic corruption Dramione fic. Today’s wip wednesday.

Her wand twitches in her hand and a series of runes emerge only to her eye. She can’t help the gasp of surprise that escapes her. The location is warded like a fortress. Age, however, is starting to bring out the cracks. And the things leaking from it… The plan. *The plan.*”
