If I understood correctly, Zach hints in his latest podcast (around the 18 minutes mark) that there's been discussions around the league about some sort of tombstone wins system.

But that would mean having a team with a finals MVP, a (should be) All-Star in White and last year’s Sixth Man of the year, being one of the four worse teams in the NBA? How are you supposed to do that?

Also, when people say a team should tank they have to say where they expect them to end up in the standings (is It realistic to out-tank the others?) and what are the odds of each pick. Then they can properly say “I want my team to lose on purpose so they’re likely to get the seventh pick”
