Back in February of last year, I wrote Rayman fanfiction taking place in college. It had no plans, no quality control, no consistency: just a pure, improvised creative exercise.

Sorry for being pedantic, but one thing that annoys me is whenever anyone says "I genuinely don't understand why they feel X about Y" when someone else did give reasons as to why someone would feel X about Y.

Even if you disagreed with them, you at least know why they feel that way, right?

First game I've ever played was Ms. Pac-Man, specifically in Namco Museum for GBA! I must've been like 2 or 3, and at the time I didn't know there were other games in the collection.

I haven't played it in a long time, but it was fun! Weird to think Ms. Pac-Man's existence is in limbo these days...

I still have a few of these left!

Tutankoopa from Paper Mario holding a Squirtle (who is withdrawn into its shell except for the head/tail) in his hand as if he's about to throw it. Below him is a Cofagrigus and two Trapinches. I went from someone who is dismissive of weird/unconventional ideas, to embracing uniqueness in media because I recognize how important it is for art. I no longer adhere to "this work must meet quotas" because I find it a boring and cynical way to engage with art.

Funny enough, Sonic Forces?

At a time when I was a teen influenced by media discourse, Forces gave me a newfound appreciation for art in general. Mainly because it was so compromised in such a way that it made me take art more seriously beyond arbitrary qualifications of "good" and "bad".

Concept art for the Spaceship depicted robotic characters wearing a similar style of headware as Hat Kid. That *may* add credence to my latter interpretation that there is some...council of time or something that Hat Kid is serving for.

For some reason in my mind, I'm assuming Hat/Bow are working for someone? I thought of the Spaceship as being handed down from a separate entity.

On that note, the Time Pieces have Hat Kid's hat in their designs. Did she create them, or are they the creation of a society whom share the same hat...?

I'm doing homework on A Hat in Time to help with my fanfiction. Got me thinking about the game more intimately.

For example: did you know that The Spaceship is designed by Hat Kid? (I guess Bow Kid designed it too, in some alternate timeline...?)
