The Trauma is enough to make you so engrossed that life passes you by. The really hard part is getting enough space in your thoughts to stop blaming and start living again. I hope you can get some help and be strong enough to not let it be your life.

Be sure you know the subject before you condemn someone. He was talking about Greenland, not Switzerland. His point is that if the US hadn't been a large force assisting in the winning of WWII the people of Greenland would be speaking German or Japanese.

I'm truly sorry for your pain and suffering. I hope you can fully, mentally, jump this high hurdle in your life. It isn't an easy thing but I hope you will be able to conquer this demon. I deeply wish you well.
