In 2023, 14 million people in the region still didn’t have access to clean water. This lack of access impacts poor and black families the most, with children being particularly affected. With this illustration, I wanted to honour my home and its struggles, while still celebrating the joys and colour that this basic right can bring to a child’s life.”"
