I am constantly surprised by how easily I can sketch out dreads, I also really like this design, i need to rework the jacket but otherwise it’s almost exactly what I was going for.

Low-key forgot her little bat/cat bow but it inspired me to make the collar more disheveled to match the expression.
I still feel like my expressions are a little amateurish, I really need to push myself more with exaggeration

Been cleaning up some of last years sketches with pen, im a little upset about how the hair turned out but I think it still looks nice.

Some slight colour adjustments, I’ve also settled on calling him Obsidian Goldstone. Drawing like this has also sped up my drawing process a lot (I’ve been using it on drawings I haven’t posted yet)

I’m so glad the gold details are doing what I wanted and keeping the face/expressions clear.
The one thing I’m disappointed about is that the eyelashes have completely disappeared but I think I’ll still keep them in the design as they help me measure the gold around the eyes.

I am constantly tossing up between different colour palettes for Helios, I know I want red and blue in the design but I can’t decide on what intensity 😭

Drew my own rainbow dash redesign, I especially love that I have her a little bit of a bald spot on her nose from flying so fast.
