If that’s accurate, it’s hard to see this as anything but voter suppression. Ending online and mail-in registration would hit a lot of legitimate voters.

That’s exactly what worries me. Limiting registration methods doesn’t protect elections...it just makes it harder for eligible people to vote. That’s a serious problem.
