Also like- isn’t this the whole point of election campaigns? Politicians say stuff they’ll do and then you vote for the one that says they’ll do the things you like the most.

Why would you vote for someone if you don’t want them to fulfill their promises??

You don’t owe your family anything! If having some distance works best for you, that is so valid & you don’t have to change just because of their opinions 💕
Also I think one lovely thing about distance is when you do see people, it can be very intentional and special!

I think this is extra not true with modern technology. My sister lives in 🇦🇺 and I’m in 🇨🇦 and yeah I personally would prefer to be much much closer
But we FaceTime several times a week, if not daily. She sends me pictures & videos and I keep up with all her life events.
