I tried it various ways, eventually I think I learned the following:
Head hair: Particle/groom for physics simulation
Eyelash: Raw geometry, every strand
Eyebrow: Hair card

Thats pretty cool! I like the bug eyes and top mandible thing, with the second mandible layer it makes sense, but with the third Its tricky to understand until its seen moving.

Oh I see, thats a good idea! I have some trouble with overlap as well, I read that this can be solved with a collision capsule and character physics, but somehow I couldnt get it to working yet 🤷‍♂️😆

Looks awesome! One suggestion based on something I noticed in HomeWorld2 is to keep fighters in formation. I think that way you could use aggregate fleet/wing indicators instead of individual ship indicators, thereby reducing clutter 🙂.
