There’s a nice conversation happening between those films. Lynch deals more with the mystical stuff and Villeneuve deals more with the literal stuff. I think they actually enhance each other.

They need to push it to 120 and really freak people out. I think the problem is the 45 or 60 fps is a compromise and so it just looks greasy.
