Player housing - rent or buy your own place to live in and decorate.

Gardening - at your home, grow plants for food, selling, or even producing narcotics.

Some planned features:

Journal - automatically keep track of stats, quests, dialogs, and NPCs you meet.

Careers - make money by working at the businesses in town, or through shadier means.

Police - a militarized police force that patrols the town to stop crime, that the NPCs can alert.
December 29, 2025 at 4:06 AM
Weapons - currently featuring a double digit arsenal of weapons consisting mostly of guns, with some others such as knives and power drills. The guns need to be cocked manually, and function more realistically than in most games.
December 29, 2025 at 4:06 AM
Daylight cycle - the sky and lighting dynamically changes with the time of day.

Phone/camera - the player has a cell phone that can be used to take in-game photos.

No invincible NPCs - everyone can die.

Featuring:

GOAP-based NPC AI - NPCs dynamically plan their schedules and actions based on conditional goals.

Topic-based dialogue - bring up a topic to an NPC to initiate dialogue on it.

Free aiming - instead of regular ADS, aiming lets you point your gun anywhere on the screen.

A motel is planned for housing as well. Plot and story will be minimal in the demo, it's not a focus. A world has to be built first before it can be destroyed.

Right now my focus is getting together a demo to show off the game's systems in a smaller map. The map will be just big enough to house everything needed for you and the NPCs to live, including a restaurant, grocery store, gas station, and of course a gun store.

There is a lot of writing and worldbuilding work already done, though I don't have much to show for it ingame yet. I've been working on this game off and on for 2 years, and the current plan is to keep working on it as long as I can, and build on it over time.

I'm using this game as my main creative outlet while I work a day-job, I have a lot on my mind and this is my way of expressing it. A lot of the game is a satirical take on the Texan culture I was raised in, exaggerating it and making a dystopia out of it.

It may seem like a nice town at first glance, but dig deeper and you will find that it is far from the truth. This place has much more going on than it seems. Try to fit in with this fucked up society and live a "normal" life, or rebel and tear it all down.

I plan on sticking around. If I could just be here instead of Twitter that'd be great but for now I'll keep cross-posting, this place seems a lot nicer
