For Animal safety: is it reasonable to only check in after 15 months?

Since GAP likes to ‘reward improvement’, why not increase audit frequency and reward farms that follow the rules instead?

EU law allows consumers to return products within 14 days of arrival. Retailers can’t refuse this law. Interestingly enough Amazon repeatedly declined this request. Here's a screenshot where an agent said Amazon doesn’t have “a cooling-off period.” #RetailEthics #ConsumerLaw #EULaw #Whistleblower
An email received from Amazon saying the following: ''hello, greetings from amazon.es. This (blocked out for legal and privacy reasons) is one of the supervisors at Amazon customer service. According to our return policies on Amazon, you should be entitled to return the item to the seller. amazon.ES provides three years of warranty on return and refund of the articles. Keep in mind that Amazon marketplace sellers are directly responsible for selling their products, as well as offering assistance with regard to buyer complaints, or with respect to any matter related to that order. I inform you that Amazon does not have a formal ''cooling off period'' like some other businesses, as their return policy effectively serves the same purpose. We don't need to activate anything, it is automatically available for most of the orders. Seller number 2 is active and still actively receiving reviews (several today). The same goes for seller number one. Your site allows me to add both products. I previously ordered to my basket and go all the way to the checkout. ''you purchased the item 2 times on January 15.'' see attached screenshots related to the seller/product/order. I have attached a screenshot of what it looks like when a product is no longer available. I've been a loyal customer for years. I purchased two [ brand name ] Products in the same order. One from seller one, one from seller too. ''you purchased this item 2 times on January 15.'' signals to me that this product and seller are still active. Which means I have the right to write a review, which matched your guidelines. This is what happened prior to the review: seller number one sent a product that did not match the picture (which is what I legally agreed to, I know my consumer rights) with an expiration date that I could not fulfill. Seller did not reply to several messages for a return request. The cooling off period, also known as write off withdrawal, which is a consumer, right, that I pointed out I was allowed to use for the return, got denied. The retailer had no legal reasons to decline that law and my consumer..'' which is where the screenshot ends. This is a reply from Amazon support to the previous email pointing out the inconsistency in the statement of the previous email, words by word, including grammar mistakes: ''hello, we cannot publish your review because it does not meet our post guidelines. On Amazon.es, we do not allow refuses in other languages than Spanish and Portuguese, or any of the other official languages of Spain. However we do allow reviews in foreign languages, only for specific products like CDs, DVDs, games and books exclusively if they have titles or subtitles in foreign languages. Ex. CD, DVD, game or book in English, we allow refuse in English or Spanish. In this case is your refuse were about other types of product so this rule does not apply. When I found out both sellers were actually the same, I was shook. I discovered this after following up on my non-published reviews by clicking on the product page. It said “you purchased this item twice,” yet these items show as separate orders. Check it out: #OnlineShopping #TransparencyMatters
Here you see a screenshot of the Amazon.es website where it shows two orders, both orders show only one item per order (this is an important detail. Remember this for the next screenshot). These order were both placed on 15 January and appeared to be completely different orders from different sellers. Each order has their own order number, each order has a different price (the first order is €31.82 and the second order was €35.49) and both are listed under different seller account/names. For legal and privacy reasons, personal details, such as the order number and the names are hidden. The posts are only visible for the account holder. The last two posts on this screenshot were from the 12th of May. The top two notifications are that there was a login on 12 May. The notification after that said "we have added a temporary label to your account which may impact its reach. Learn more here.'' This is the last screenshot also from within the @Beyondbutton account on X. Previous notifications about the flagging that were shown in the previous screenshot, are now gone. But there are still three notifications with answers from Amazon in regards to tweets by @Beyondbutton. There are 3 mentions and answers from Amazon. The last and most recent from the bottom, reply from Amazon help (@amazonhelp) was "for further assistance. Please follow the guidance above, and we will be happy to look into this with you. Due to this being a public forum, we cannot meet security concerns and look into the account or order. Thank you.'' The second answer from Amazon help is "due to security concerns. We cannot access accounts via X. Please reach out to us using the link at the end. More information about refuse can be found here:'' [and they added a link to the Amazon community]. The last notification from the bottom was "hi. We are sorry to hear there was a problem with the product purchased and would be happy to take a closer look. Without disclosing any personal or account information of any type, can you send us a DM using the included link?'' The date of these mentions is 8th of May.

The empty battery notification that was once available is gone, leaving clients without critical warning. When clicking for more info, it recommends buying extra products instead of honoring the recording length.

I checked all my notifications and nothing was there. Am I missing something? A ring agent responded: "you should receive a low battery notification on your phone once the battery falls below 30% on your ring device, as mentioned in this help center page (link included does not show any information, brings to the homepage of the help center instead - making this link useless for the customer). If you did not get the notification, you can try the following steps: 1. Verify that your phone and ring app are caught up with the latest update updates available. 2. Check that all notification permissions for the Ring app on your phone or enabled. 3. Remove any apps that are known to conflict with the ring app. Agent attached a link, one clicking on it does not bring the user to an article, brings to the same main page for the help center. 4. Interesting timing: after tweeting about Amazon’s violations and platform abuse, my X account was suddenly locked. No reason given. Just a vague “unusual activity.” I had to unlock it manually. Coincidence? Or is Big Tech watching Big Tech? #Amazon #PlatformAccountability
