I was hosting Mekton Zeta using lore from Palladium Rifts and they were playing as Coalition SAMUS pilots. They were exploring the sewers under a town they were occupying when they got jumped by mutants and one of the players used a tech wizard device to remote access his mech

You're welcome to fund and litigate it, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't get very far, but I'm not an expert and things with tech change so rapidly that we'll probably all find out in like a week that it stole all our social security numbers or something

Or, just spitballing, maybe parents should monitor their kids online activities better rather than running to the government every time something tragic happens?

You can't sue an LLM either though so when you attempt to sue you have to sue a person in some capacity, either in their personal capacity or as a representative of a business entity, so that's what I mean by "it becomes a 1A issue *when* you sue"

You can't sue Sam Altman if he tells you to take a long walk off a short pier, at least not successfully, why would there be an exception just because it was his product that did it?

I don't believe the issue is a 1A issue until you attempt to sue Sam Altman for the content chat gpt produces, like attempting to sue him because his machine encouraged someone to hurt themselves, I believe that sets a dangerous precedent where you carve out an exception to 1A

It's not literally a decision lol, it's a probabilistic output based on variable data sets which often give you different answers to the same question. That's not rationality, that's not sentience, that's not a decision. That's a slightly more useful magic 8 ball
