Yeah, you get it.

With that bold red stuff apply to Genshin? I know the game is being struck, but with our shitty US laws, the strike against Genshin isn't technically official.

It was official in case of the recording studio Furmosa, but I don't know how that changes things.

I understand what you are saying tho
June 13, 2025 at 11:58 PM
Ah I see, that makes much more sense.

Now I understand how he would have known better.
June 13, 2025 at 11:48 PM
Can you tell me how we know that? Cause I haven't seen anyone clarify how they know that, assuming they even can in the first place. This is out of genuine curiosity. Like I said, I don't know the ins and outs of how auditioning works, especially in these cases
June 13, 2025 at 11:27 PM
Well, his post about getting the role was pretty terrible.

I have no idea how replacement auditions go, though. I never experienced them. All I know is that for some games, you don't know the role you are doing until later.

But I also agree. His initial post and silence were/are pretty loud.
June 13, 2025 at 11:14 PM
You're right.

I should actually be saying how I hate how unorganized some VAs were in replies, and how...attacking they were (I cant decide a better word than attacking).

I hate to bring it up since its hoyo, but the stuff that happened with the Kinich VA should have happened behind doors
June 13, 2025 at 10:59 PM
I'm definitely frustrated.

I just hate how it the strike just looked so unorganized.

Like, I remmeber seeing a tiktok video (a ton of them actually) from a VA who talked about how contracts with Genshin for example didn't change or add any clauses about AI, which made sense. But no one knew that
June 13, 2025 at 10:48 PM
And I congratulate you for that. Even trying to clarify info better than nothing.

Hell, its better than me arguing with you right now.
June 13, 2025 at 10:36 PM
Which is great! You guys won. The deal needs to be finalized, but that doesn't change the harm VAs did or did not create.

Black lists, reporting, jobs leaving the US, shitty union laws that undermine and hurt SAG? That shit builds up
June 13, 2025 at 10:34 PM
Which isn't very collective with new VAs working on games, and people like Erica are trying to come do work and are apparently getting letters telling her no to.

Like, the I'm sorry, but the information around the Strike became so muddy so fast. And no one can agree on anything anymore
June 13, 2025 at 10:31 PM
Like, I'm not going to lie. The strike sucked because everyone was so un-unified.

VAs attacking one another, a discord where people actively shit talked others, no one being able to answer the same question the same way twice.

Hell even with Sean, it went from a strike to collective work refusal
June 13, 2025 at 10:30 PM
And that's it. They don't mention in the NO post that people who did vote, 80% of them said no. Not unless I severely over scrolled while trying to look, and I missed it.

And even then, what about the worry that jobs were leaving the US? SAG made 1 post about that, urging talks to Congress
June 13, 2025 at 10:27 PM
Then why did no one correct her or say that?

I follow the union stuff as best as I can, since I want to do voice acting in my future, and all we got was that SAG said no to a deal that was apparently a final offer.

Even looking at SAGs Twitter, it goes from a vote to "this is the problem"
June 13, 2025 at 10:25 PM
Especially when in the US specifically, Genshin was not struck. Joe said so, Sean just said so very recently as well.

On a very LEGAL sense, he did not cross a line.

On a moral sense, he absolutely did, but those are not the same thing.
June 13, 2025 at 10:02 PM
Well, some VAs did stalk the guy and call them out for his wife buying a house.

Like, I don't know what people like Kayli or Corina expected.

With or without context, having a shit ton of people look at a guy and actively talk about him with disdain is gonna look like bullying.
June 13, 2025 at 9:58 PM
It became worse when VAs started reporting and attacking one another, something you and others you disagree with have publicly said.

And I get it, this was always going to get messy. But the amount of underhanded and sub-quoting comments people had on one another was a problem, and a massive one
June 13, 2025 at 9:55 PM
Okay, that's fine.

But support for the strike wained when VAs talked about jobs leaving for everything surrounding VAs too. Allegra being one of them.

Especially when, apparently, an image started floating around VAs showing the "best and final offer" as really decent, yet SAG said no to that
June 13, 2025 at 9:52 PM
Call them out. We know who you are talking about, so call them out.
June 13, 2025 at 7:41 PM
I'm sorry, but the support was overturned when VAs publicly denounced the new VA for Kinich. At least in the gaming sphere.

Yeah, VAs wanted to get back to work, but it sounds like many jobs were moving overseas and being lost, including those like sound engineering, directing, and yes VA work.
June 13, 2025 at 7:40 PM
Can you please explain WHY the game was okay to work on before the strike happened?

Because everyone who has a problem with it sees it as a Trojan horse attempt to strong arm a game into going union, when apparently, the only problem a VA had was not getting paid on time because of furmosa
June 13, 2025 at 4:23 PM
I don't really understand why I didn't get this answer to my question but at least I got it.

I only asked since you had a problem with Hoyo/Furmosa before
May 31, 2025 at 3:38 PM
I'm asking out of genuine curiosity, but didn't do the VA Studios pay you, and nor Hoyo? Hoyo just gives the money to the studios.

And if you can say anything, who's or what parts of the contract has been broken? You can make the fight against Hoyo way bigger if you were honest about it tbh

I knew Pac-man sucked
