the crew are drakers and i could compare it to nomads who overall respect the animals they hunt to service, after all the drakers do use every part of the dragon, nothing goes to waste but man i just have too much sympathy for the dragons and hate seeing them be killed. I'm an adult, i understand

but then they are hunted down and killed and eaten. then they add "villains" who only hunt them to kill them, therefore wasting their meat and bodies...idk! it makes me think of like....how do we treat our own farm animals, animals that we think are cute but in the end we consume them...

OLDER...this manga, it creates such a feeling of like, dissonance in me. you want me to feel for these dragons, the story points out they look for their family members, their mates, there is more then one time where a character makes eye contact with them, you tell me their scared when they are hurt

and the bit i found strangest was there was a part in which they were hunting and one of the characters fall off the ship (they are on an airship this whole time) and they bring down with them a dragon. so the main character is on the ground with the dead dragon and then.....baby dragon.
