Err. I live in the South island of New Zealand. All there is here are open fields, mountains, fjords, steep valleys and practically no towns. Srsly. Rail would fix a number of our nations biggest issues. I’m not anti car. I’m putting 30000 kms a year in behind the steering wheel.
