"Single sex spaces" is to "trans women should be excluded because they're not actually women" in the same way that "ethnic cleansing" is a sanitized "genocide."

If trans women are valid, then trans women need to have spaces "safe" from men in the same way cis women do.

Thus, the entire argument in opposition to this fundamentally requires believing that they aren't valid.

The idea that there exists a "sensible debate" about "single sex spaces" is entirely predicated on the idea that trans women are inherently dangerous to cis women.

That is the bottom line, and needs to be acknowledged as such.
