4/ It would have been natural with everything going on for them to say they did not have time for the project, or to collect another dataset, or run another analysis. At no point did they ever do so. At no point did they ever lower their standards either. Genuinely humbling to watch them in action.

3/ Like any project that takes so long, this one saw us thru many ups and downs--from growing families, to a pandemic, to promotions, to losing relatives. Throughout, it was amazing to experience Andy and Marko's generosity as coauthors.

2/ Like all my papers, this one took ~8 years from start to pub, with numerous rejections, including a desk rejection in <5 hours from a journal editor who solicited our submission 🤪. (Junior scholars, there is hope for you yet!) AKA, Andy and Marko have been putting up with me for a while. 😉
