SAY IT 🙌

In Southern Arizona we have invasive buffelgrass and fountain grass. When they reach high enough densities we get more fires 🔥 than we should, and larger ones than we should.

Native grasses here include Arizona Cottontop, Bush Muhly, and Blue Grama.

interesting tidbit I learned from Dr. Joey Blankenship… soil health indicators are all based on East coast ecosystems … there are NO soil health indicators for arid & semi arid ecosystems despite 60% (and growing) of the worlds food production occurs in arid ecosystems

No I don't know what the labeling system is in Aoteroa but if you find out what it's treated with I can still probably point you in the right direction.

Yes and I noticed that if you scroll down there's mention of labels denoting increasing hazard levels, starting with H1. If you check for the label you could maybe find out what it was treated with from there.

Once you identify the compound the EPA database should help.

My vege garden is made with treated retaining timber lined with porous landscape fabric to let water get through. I found this though, maybe the trick would be trying to work out what the timber is treated with before using it?
