As of 01/28/25 NSF has canceled scheduled grant application review meetings to comply with executive orders. The NSF is an independent federal agency that provides research funding to colleges and universities. Including the processing of critical minerals needed to secure our domestic supply chain.

The recent free lunch program in ALL Nevada schools was primarily funded by federal COVID relief funds; it is unclear right now if this is already allocated money within the state or if it is still being disbursed by federal funds. I will update if I get more information.

75% of schools within the CCSD are designated as Title 1 Schools. This means they receive additional federal funding for education and provide free lunches to students. If your child is receiving free lunch, prepare yourself for the possibility of having to provide lunches for them in the future.
