In other words a desk in a room with other children and a teacher where students can get on with their work in quiet as well as benefitting 29 other students including PP, SEN and EAL students who really needed calm lesson environment. Hardly the same as solitary confinement in Victorian Prison

It’s certainly not solitary confinement as in the prison sense of the word. It is most likely in a quiet room with other students and at least one member of staff giving them space to get on with work as well as benefitting the 29 other students who had had their learning disrupted
