It will be a progression much like in the Vietnam war. First, a few advisors. Then forces to protect the bases. Then combat forces to search and destroy enemy forces in the surrounding areas. Then pacification of enemy strongholds. Finally, strategic bombing of enemy states and supply lines.

MAGA policies are a full on assault on rural America. They are closing down rural hospitals, clinics, schools, entire small towns. And with a few decades Wall Street will own the vast majority of good farm land.

From what I've read, Canadians have already stopped buying many American products. Canadians have a whole world to import from, and there's not much the Canadian government could do to make the situation harder on Americans. Trump shot us in the foot.

Not opposed to this. While the earlier immigrants should have had a legal status, the fix is to allow in more workers with a legal status. It's unfortunate that the regime sees fit to lower wages as part of this, but it should have little effect as employers must pay market wages to obtain workers.

Doesn't sound that complicated to me. If the demand for your crop has collapsed, then either plant something else, or let half your fields regenerate until the market returns.

Right. It's really all about oil. US oil interests are still angry over being denied access to Venezuelan oil fields, and US oil interests own MAGA.

We should boycott corporate Christmas. Buy only from local vendors or not at all. And take the opportunity to explain it to the kiddos - it's because the corporations have sold us out to the fascists.

If the bailout goes primarily to corporate agriculture they will use it to buy up even more family farms at auction. So means test it.

I don't have a problem with bailing out family farms, but there should be a cap on income so that only true family farms receive a bailout. Nearly half of agricultural production today is by large corporations which also control the politics of rural states. These corporations got Trump elected.
