Did not occur to me that I could place someone else's paper in ChatGPT -- apparently has occurred to some others, if this has to be said aloud.

A journal communicated: “If we do not receive your response within four weeks (due date: Oct XX 2025 11:59:59:000PM), we will consider the manuscript withdrawn.” (Actually, we got three weeks!?!)
The statistics get skewed when revisions are sent as new manuscript.

In one example this year, we had to indeed withdraw the manuscript and submit as new, because referee comments (round 2) came in the summer, and it was impossible to respond in three or three +1 weeks, because people were on vacation at different times. Revision 2 thus submitted as "new manuscript".
