Stop in Worthington and get some good Mexican or Guatemalan food, that town is a gem and could use the support. Then head to Blue Mounds for a little hike and to see Buffalo and a beer at Take 16. Spend the night in Sioux Falls. It is a much better drive than the Des Moines semi superhighway
