It really is enough to bring tears - especially in a country like the UK that almost fetishises the Second World War and defeat of fascism (not to mention France, Germany and the Netherlands, which also seem to be going down the same road despite having also experienced fascism first hand).

Scot here. I have a close relative undergoing cancer treatment - emergency admission, surgery 24 hours later, a stay in both critical care and recovery ward for about 10 days, other issues, and now undergoing chemo. It has cost precisely zero.

The system here has its faults, but yours is criminal.
