I don't read tabloids, but I have studied Scottish politics and discussed it with both unionist and nationalist Scots. I care because I'm British and Scotland is as much a part of my country as England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

I think a 5.1% swing would be quite substantial, especially since most people aren't swing voters, but I suppose that's a matter of opinion.

If you're going to deliberately misinterpret everything I say, what is the point of this?
July 27, 2025 at 6:22 PM
You win some, you lose some.

Grow up and stop being such a sore loser.

Scotland voted for the current government, but that hasn't shut you up.
July 27, 2025 at 6:18 PM
The system you're proposing is completely undemocratic. Nations don't vote. People do
July 27, 2025 at 4:16 PM
10% isn't a landslide, but I wouldn't call it close either.

Why would I think Scotland is a region of England? That's idiotic
July 27, 2025 at 3:34 PM
Is your reasoning that because Scotland chose to stay in the UK, it should get to overule to the rest of the country?
In 2014, some people may have been swayed by remaining in the EU, but it wasn't a close vote, so I don't think it would have changed the outcome.
July 27, 2025 at 12:28 PM
You too, this was certainly interesting
July 27, 2025 at 12:17 AM
Is that your excuse every time you lose an argument?
July 27, 2025 at 12:16 AM
Forgive me for caring about lies to the Scottish people. The Scottish government has no responsibilities to the British government and therefore has no opportunities to lie. That article cited 9 seperate papers. If you think the whole media is biased against you, you're probably just wrong
July 27, 2025 at 12:11 AM
It wasn't ignored. It was simply outvoted, as was the part of England I'm from
July 26, 2025 at 11:52 PM
It's better to reform the system than burn it down. Especially given the economic damage Scotland would take in the hope of a slightly more honest government
July 26, 2025 at 11:42 PM
The SNP have lied to the Scottish people. All parties are somewhat guilty, and I'm not saying they're worse in this regard, but nobody is innocent. www.google.com/amp/s/www.bb...

The leading British politicians at the time were remainers who thought the UK would stay in the EU. They didn't lie. They were wrong. I've provided plenty of evidence that we are better together even out of the EU. There can't be constant referendums, but in time, of course there could be another
July 26, 2025 at 11:34 PM
What's the relevance of this? It's clearly bad, but not related to what we were talking about
July 26, 2025 at 11:26 PM
That's fucked up, I'm with you on that
July 26, 2025 at 11:24 PM
Self determination is good and right. Scotland had that and chose to be British. A lot of people in 2016 were swayed by the promise of more funding for the NHS and other economic arguments. I dislike English nationalists as much as scottish nationalists
July 26, 2025 at 11:22 PM
Thanks. I'm a little embarrassed I didn't know about that cause I'm applying to the military 😂
July 26, 2025 at 11:13 PM
Scots voted to remain British in 2014. I think we are stronger together and Scotland agreed
July 26, 2025 at 11:07 PM
England didn't deny that. Scotland denied it in 2014 because most Scots are more sensible than you
July 26, 2025 at 11:04 PM
Some of those promises were kept. The scottish government controls NHS Scotland, and the only part of the UK to not be properly federalised is England. Yeah, some promises have been broken. Politicians lie! The SNP have broken promises too. Don't be so naive
July 26, 2025 at 11:01 PM
I know about various strains of nationalism, I've got a History and Politics degree. The SNP are admittedly the lesser of two evils, but the economic arguments made for Brexit and Scottish independence are very similar. Some Scottish nationalist hate the english as much as reform hates immigrants
July 26, 2025 at 10:56 PM
What does this mean?
