Democrats are happy to present a warm opposition to Trump’s actions and SC decisions. Their response often stops at press conferences. They constantly say democracy is under threat, but when it comes time to act with urgency, they often retreat and do not act like we’re in a constitutional crisis.

What use is a democrat that can’t hold their ground in something as basic as civil rights? The right is spewing lies and suffocating our rights but we’re meant to concede just because we are not the majority? In what country that values liberty should you have to ask for permission to be yourself?

Democrats can’t win elections if they’re republican lites. Calling for common ground and appeasing to the right (i.e. calling for Bush support) in this fascist times, never is a winning card. I can’t imagine MLK saying, “let’s pause our fight for civil rights, because republicans are going to win”.
