The reporting in the Salon article is infuriating. It doesn't accurately portray what is going on here. If a Black Admiral's melanin was removed and his name changed to Chad Smith, would the reporting be more appropriate to the offense? They even use "chosen name" instead of LEGAL name or just NAME.
