I wonder how better it would have been received had it not been for the dubbing and unfortunate placement of being the series finale. Pretty sure Clive Barker had watched this episode before writing The Thief of Always.

TCM ran The Swimmer recently. Fantastic movie but damn. Going in blind was sure depressing. Didn't play out at all like I thought it would.

Listened to this before I saw Final Reckoning. Spent the first hour of the movie, mentally allotting time to watch the whole franchise again. After credits rolled, I told myself I don't want any more MI for at least a decade.

I had to drop out midway through the Capaldi eps but want to return when I have time.
The internet seemed like it had a real problem with the doctor regenerating into a woman. But I'll bet those most vocal settled down after an of colour gentleman assumed the role!
