Being outdoors, kayaking, bushwalking and taking images
We had a thunderstorm this afternoon with some reasonably heavy showers. I got a few shots while it cleared and before the light went.

I've tried to photograph this church many times and haven't managed to get a version that I'm entirely happy with. I'm now waiting for a wet evening when I can try a different approach.

The two images here are of Federation Peak. Sir Edmund Hillary declared it "Australia's only real mountain". These were taken on my phone as I was trying to travel as light as possible and regrettably didn't take my normal camera gear.

We've had a pretty wet December so far and this in addition to a number of commitments has kept me at home more than normal. This is a recent shot taken in my back yard after a heavy rainstorm.

I'm taking the liberty of posting an image from March 23 when a couple of friends and I did a traverse of the Eastern Arthur Range in Southwest Tasmania. The late afternoon light appealed to me. The photo was taken just before descending to camp at Hanging Lake.

Images from my backyard. Two waterdrops on a fence which caught my eye. They were nice in colour but became a little ominous as a monochromatic image

On a recent walk I re-visited a waterfall that I thought might make a nice image. Unfortunately it was a blue sky day so I'll have to go back again to improve the image. Location on the Explorer Creek above Lake Mackenzie, central plateau Tasmania.
