Como alguien inequívocamente negro y latino, no debería tener que esforzarme emocionalmente para demostrarles a los latinos no negros que soy latino. Siendo completamente honesto, a veces odio tener que usar español frente a latinos no negros porque siento que tengo que fingir.

It’s so crazy looking back at photos of yourself and remembering who you were in that moment. This was circa 2017 in Long Beach, I had just come back from a conscious California Park day event. And I had a poetry reading that night.
