Top 5 Tuesday for the two main Danish leagues. Actually staying pretty stable for so early in the season, especially in divisionen with no movement at all.

The Division, formerly the 1st division is (IMO) the most interesting and competitive league in Denmark. Sadly I no longer have a team in league and I may be one of the only people that cares, but I love this league. Get out there and see some free (sometimes a cheap ticket charged) hockey.

Its easy to say in hindsight that you called it before it happened. So I've decided to make the slightly risky move of posting my predictions for the season ahead. Pretty easy calls, I know, but lets see how it pans out.

So with the round robin all finished for this season, this is the rise and fall of this crazy season all in one graphic. Herlev climbed the mountain and nearly went all the way back down, Rungsted did the opposite. Finals are going to throw some curve balls at us for sure.

In the last 10 finals series in the Metal Liga, 8 teams have won through to the semi finals from positions 5th to 8th, including 3 in 2022. So its the most likely outcome that at least 1 team pulls it off. So who might do it this season? Its going to be heated #isdk

With 1st placed Herning just losing to the 7th spot White Hawks, its a great opportunity for old rivals Esbjerg to have a crack at them on home ice this Friday.

For the first time in a long while, we have players from 3 teams in the top 5. There are a few weeks to go but I'd be very surprised if our winner wasn't already in the top 2.
