In the Night Garden has been a staple of British children's bedtimes for almost twenty years. Created and produced by the same people who brought us Teletubbies, it is every bit as odd as you'd expect for a calming, soothing bedtime show aimed at preschoolers made by those folk. Like many kid's shows, it doesn't take much adjusting of the angle you're viewing from to see things in a different light, and when my son was younger, but old enough that we'd seen every episode a few times, I started tweeting some of those odd perspectives.

I’ve no idea who decided that a double tap should be a ‘favourite post’ shortcut on many apps, but I have only ever done triggered it by accident when trying to do something else. Which is probably why that feature exists I guess.

Apparently I’m the only person in the world looking at the Minecraft movie trailer and thinking they’ve pitched it just about spot on. I think it looks fantastic. And my 3-year-old saw the trailer and immediately said “I want to watch that all day.” https://youtu.be/gbNzxvz2_H4

For some reason I decided that my social media accounts needed their own social media accounts. So CreativeSplurges and RobDoesTrains are on Instagram, Threads and Bluesky. 🤷♂️
