Yeah it “can” code. You still need someone who is pretty good at coding to go over it and fix mistakes. I was saying once better and faster and more accurate and you don’t need someone to review it, and then it can rewrite itself to get exponentially better that’s basically the singularity.

Right now AI still can’t do anything truly creative. All it can do is stuff it’s already been fed. It can copy and mimic but it can’t invent a new style different than what it’s already seen. Maybe if it gets really good at coding and we let it rewrite its own code then there may be true progress.
