I have very limited exposure to Alex Jacques but you’re probably right. At least he won’t have a long list of pointless stats related to him going for a late night piddle, and certainly won’t be going WHEEL-TUH-WHEEL down the hallway. And hopefully it won’t be the old switcheroo once he gets there

Use a “smart” kitchen thermometer. If it only has presets for cooking meat to certain temps find out what corresponds to the perfect cuppa, select that, drop the probe in your tea and go about your business until you get the notification the desired temperature has been reached.

Instead of being a passive-aggressive twat, if you feel so strongly why not report them to the company for their reckless driving? That way, actual road users could benefit rather than fictitious customers who probably won’t read your fake review. There’ll be a number on the vehicle somewhere.

Not one gentle parenting advocate I know is in violent yet their kids are mostly uncontrollable. The fact that so many “gentle parents” freaked out during covid because their offspring wouldn’t sit down and concentrate on school work was also pretty telling that as a parenting idea it’s failing.

The fact that a huge numbers of advocates of gentle parenting respond to criticism of it with “What, we should allow parents to smack their kids then?!!” tells you all you need to know. Many people are too stupid or lazy or both to cope with disciplining their feral offspring.

I nearly tripped up Keanu Reeves and Lord March (as he still was at the time) at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2016. I was tying a shoelace and as I stood up I stumbled forward slightly, clipping Keanu’s foot who then stumbled into Lord March. I apologised and they were both very gracious about it

I’m no Max fanboi, but he really is good. I’m not even sure the car is designed for him. I think he’s said previously Yuki isn’t slow so maybe the fact he’s qualifying so far down needs to be addressed. I think they lack the skills to design their way out of the development cul-de-sac they’re in

The Gary Oldman Effect? I am convinced I heard he’d died years ago. In my head it was around the same time as Alan Rickman in the celeb cull of 2016. Maybe my brain is confusing the two actors and arriving at the conclusion they both died? Agree on the Mandela thing, not heard it before the “effect”
