Mothin Ali is 1 of 9 people standing to be the next deputy leader of the Greens. He is a councillor in Leeds city council (Gipton and Harehills), won in 2024 with a grassroots campaign. He was in the news last year for his work helping calm down unrest in Harehills. He also runs a gardening Youtube.
