Congratulations. I was thinking that Bennelong was not retainable with boundary change, little margin and saturation canvassing from the Liberals. I was wrong

They didn’t need a strategist whilst they were just saying ‘NO’. But they forgot how to change tact for canvassing

The division in media reporting and allegiances has become more pronounced hence my choice of The Conversation as sounding board against the MSM. Still read them but refer elsewhere for a rational analysis.

Like for like as their leader?

Superb as always. Expect to see this on the wall at old Parliament House

Dutton’ I hate blonds’. Hume ’its ok he’s only joking!’

Of course they are (NOT)

I wonder a the failure of the LNP at this election would lead to a ‘Reform’ style party for the far right conservatives?

Sean Kelly in today’s SMH has an excellent profile of Mr Dutton that includes “It was trademark Dutton. Generate outrage, then kind of say sorry, without outlining what he was sorry about.” Is his accusation of Mr Albanese that he is ‘loose with the truth’ countered by his own ‘loose of the mouth’?

Mr Dutton’s comments show how the Menzies ‘broad church’ has shrunk under his ‘direction’. He exercises a divisive church where it is a matter of believing his scripture (policy)only. If only they were thought through and not just focus group grabs.

It a fringe area but Neuropolitics attempts to explain why irrespective of the realities people support certain political ideology. I have close friends who have a very strong political belief that I fail to understand and they of me. It’s just the way our brains work?
April 25, 2025 at 4:43 AM
Someone has done their homework on this topic
April 25, 2025 at 12:43 AM
Unfortunately for Liberals this is their option. Mr Dutton has shown he is only any good at attack strategy and not at forward planning. Trying to assess each parties policy the LNP has become like an ‘Etch a Sketch’, the only item missing from Cathy’s excellent cartoon.

Who’s to say the liberal policies would last the race?
April 24, 2025 at 6:15 AM
We are being inundated with liberal media here in Bennelong. It has been going on for weeks but off the scale now. Wraparound local newspapers, letters from a Mr Howard etc. Seeing Mr Duttons policy performance there is no way I’m voting for his local proxy. Just make it end!

I can see gulls as well!
April 24, 2025 at 5:51 AM
Not this Robbie for sure
April 18, 2025 at 11:03 AM
Liberal values in doubt or are they a focus group??
April 18, 2025 at 7:08 AM
It has become impossible for Mr Dutton to soften his image and retain his tough guy persona at the same time. His tough side, likened to a Jekyll and Hyde creation, keeps leaking out. There maybe a time for that character but it is not now. (IMO)

All well and good for those who have the ability to save any money for a deposit but what about support and security for long term renters? In Germany the view of home ownership is entirely different and rental is the preferred option so the laws provide for them. You could consider the same?
April 17, 2025 at 2:10 AM
It would seem Mr Dutton is an example of the ‘Peter Principle’
Which is ‘the principle that members of a hierarchy are promoted until they reach the level at which they are no longer competent.’
April 17, 2025 at 2:04 AM
It seems that while the big ticket items (Policies) lack detail the less talked about items do have detail. I confirm I am no longer an uncommitted voter in there is no way I will vote for LNP ‘pig in a poke’ policies.
