No point stabbing him in the back to just grab hold of the same shitty stick and go down yourself

Its a waiting game for the right moment

Just a note here the 'cheap' teslas are 69kwh in USA, we already have cheaper entry level models with ~55kwh LFP battery packs

If they make these in China with that they may approach $60k NZD but they wont save near so much unless they also trim the kwh

Govt's Budget 'just like a household,' says Willis

This one is busy spending all our cash on chardonnay and trying to cover up their alcoholism

Its totally the kids that are the problem have you seen how much they eat!

It's unbelievable that this article

"Government’s books show finance minister borrowing billions to keep the lights on"

does not once mention the $12to$14Billion tax cut cost they are borrowing to cover, nor the Billions they stole from Pay Equity Fund #NZPol
Government’s books show finance minister borrowing billions to keep the lights on
Treasury has revealed the state of the Government’s finances and it shows we’re borrowing just to keep the lights on.

If you are going to steal policies, stealing from John Major is a really bad idea...

We'll see a big media beat up about $5k extra spent on a portrait, or a council xmas party

Nothing on a billion dollars wasted on no ferries

I mean its a great portrait of @misswhanau.bsky.social but if they were supposed to do photography instead that is an error..

Really its a rounding error in a council budget as a photograph would have cost $2k or something anyhow

What's really galling is the fact she can talk about National "values" and her hope for NZ's future with a straight face, having slashed jobs and public services, engineered a recession, and been part of the most benefit-bashing, racist, cruel government since the 80s.

Yeah super contrasty, tbh multiple levels of exposure and blending somehow is the only real solution if you want more

You are dreaming if you think that would happen tho

New Zealand has yet ANOTHER new electric vehicle on the market! This is the Riddara RD6 pickup truck. Supposedly it does 0-100 in 4.5 seconds and goes off road... They put all-terrain tires on it for me so let's find out! 😁

OCR drop to 2.5% while effective mortgage rate (average weighted rate) is about 5.25%. By my calcs, effective mortgage rate needs to be around 4.25% to be stimulatory. That would require an OCR of below 2%. Remember, we have much more mortgage debt now, thanks to RBNZ being idiots in 2020/21.

A recurrent attempt to blame people for corporate action (this news gets repeated every few years).

HFAs in inhalers = ~2.4million tons a year.

Total CO2 last year was 37.8 GIGAtons.

Inhalers are less than a rounding error.

Now this is going to come as a shock but it seems that the Cones Hotline is a complete waste of time and money.
A graph from Newsroom showing Van Veldens Cones Hotline is a waste of money.

Data shows Wellington City Council's cone report outcomes -
Sites found to be in order 54
Closed with no action 35
Out of scope 22
Contractor advised to move cones 5
Council moved cones

Just got sent this from an article by Bryce Edwards. This is completely false, and he never once fact-checked it with me. My campaign was run by me and my small volunteer team. Comments like this reflect a tired mindset that assumes women can’t succeed in politics without a man pulling the strings.

The Anatomy of influence - A Wellington case study
Many of the powerful vested interests behind local politicians are barely acknowledged. For example, how many Wellington voters knew that the current Mayor of Wellington, Tory Whanau, had her successful 2022 campaign essentially run by corporate lobbyist Neale Jones?
Jones co-owns and operates the Capital Government Relations firm with fellow political commentator Ben Thomas. The firm is the epitome of the "revolving door"
