Very good Jezebel article on this (which assume a lot of people have seen already) www.jezebel.com/i-rewatched-...
I Rewatched Love Actually and Am Here to Ruin It for All of You
Since 2007, Jezebel has been the Internet's most treasured source for everything celebrities, sex, and politics...with teeth.

Ah, thought it might be you seeing as you were in the area. Having a pint out front there right now.

Have you just got to neckstamper by any chance?

Had to read the missing bits of the thread for context!

Read an excellent article in the guardian last year about the campaign to stop the building of the A12 in Leyton.

I'd love to have a go on a recumbent but terrified to ride one on the road

Proper start of an adventure, just what you want

Was expecting it to be good but genuinely surprised at how much I liked it. Another of his I'm guessing you've read but I thought Reamde was brilliant too.

Very good chance you've read it already but Stephenson's Seveneves is excellent. For a fairly long history about Burma in WW2 Louis Allen's The Longest War is very well written too.

You would have thought so wouldn't you. The filter outside what was passing clouds particularly winds me up (a double blind corner with planters narrowing the carriageway and a lot of cars going through it).

Hopefully there will actually be some enforcement (unlike at the Richmond Road/Kingsland Road filter)

Excellent post John, also a good reminder of how unpleasant Armstrong was

The Queen's Head in Acton street is excellent with a really good range of beers

Have found Reacher on Amazon to be very entertaining, 3 series on there to watch

Sorry, meant how many people you reach re Pellicle on it. The site seems pretty desolate when I (infrequently) log on. Leaving aside moral reasons for avoiding it there just doesn't seem much point being there.

What's your engagement like on twitter/X these days?

Bit of a long shot but do you know what action took place on 05/06/42 in Libya (I think)? Or point me in a good direction to find out? Looking for RAC 4th County of London Yeomanry specifically.
