While I can see how he'd be annoyed at people yelling at him for edgy comments he made in the 2000's, he's really not helping things by continuing to act immature in response. He falls back on the old stereotype of "the gamers" the same way he did back on Xplay, because apparently it's all he knows.

See it's funny because one time he did actually get in trouble with Sega, he did the "SnooPINGAS usual" line for a fan and according to him he was reprimanded for saying a word that sounds like "penis" in-character. I think the problem with Wii is they really expect you to be playing with friends. Not that it's bad in single player or anything but you can tell from the gimmicks and the level design that the intended experience is multiplayer. Especially since player 1 can ONLY be Mario (why)

Which reminds me, I've also noticed recently more people saying they consider Wii blander/safer than 2. It's an interesting thought actually. Not entirely sure I agree but I see where they're coming from.

I was struggling to articulate it on stream, to me NSMB2 is a game with an identity crisis. It does have legitimately good and sometimes unique ideas in it, but it often plays things super safe and boring. It's a very well designed tax writeoff, like they both did and did not care.
