5/5 Or perhaps it could send a referral to the Writing Center if a student asked the bot for help drafting or editing work assignments. The possibilities really are endless, but we have to be very thoughtful & strategic in how we leverage this technology.

4/5 A bot could conceivably serve as an academic advisor or be tied into the college's student support services dashboard, where it may send an alert to the Fin Aid office if a student was asking questions related to that topic.

3/5 First-generation college students would benefit from a bot that provides both uplifting, motivational feedback as well as recommendations for internal & external resources depending on the needs communicated by the student.

2/5 A faith-based institution, for example, would likely want to support students with encouragement & spiritual guidance woven into "conversations" with bots.

Within #highereducation, it may be best for individual institutions to create their own #AI chatbots to ensure bot output reflects their particular mission. 1/5 #AcademicSky

Stressed out? Feel the weight of the world on your shoulders? Do yourself a favor a take a moment to watch w/ the volume turned up. Much cheaper than therapy.

Performative politics may seem like a fun or entertaining way to win an election, but it has long term consequences. Call me old fashioned, but I still believe politicians should be public servants committed to serving the greater good.

Ron DeSantis just realized Florida’s short 9,000 teachers. Who would have ever thought that demonizing educators, banning books, and turning classrooms into warzones might make people quit?

2/2 (3) There’s a huge potential enrollment pool that institutions aren’t tapping into; & (4) Institutions still aren’t recognizing the value of building #microcredentialing programs. #AcademicSky #EduSky

2/2 #Highered institutions must take great care when selecting individuals for leadership & management roles. Treating staff with dignity & respect should be at the top of a qualifications list. #AcademicSky #EduSky

1/2 I've either observed or experienced every one of these. It's even worse when the image of a leader or supervisor comes to mind, because that person sets the example & creates a work culture for the entire department. #AcademicSky #EduSky

2/2 Colleges are cutting staff to save $$. Be advised: Relying on grad students or ChatGPT for quality assurance & #accreditation work isn't the answer. #AcademicSky #EduSky

1/2 Quality assurance is the wheel that steers the ship & keeps it from sinking. It requires having experienced staff to make sure #highered institutions are using solid assessments, are collecting & analyzing data, & helping admins to make data-informed programmatic decisions. #AcademicSky #EduSky

3/3 If we prepare teachers with excellence, that will have a positive impact on the lives and learning of students for years to come. Yes, it's a pain in the neck, but accreditation helps us to strive higher, make data-informed decisions, and continuously improve our programs. #AcademicSky #EduSky

2/3 I know the hard work and commitment it takes to go through a rigorous program review process, and I'm so proud of each and every one! Of course, the ultimate benefactors of accredited #teachertraining programs are our P-12 students. #AcademicSky #EduSky

Sincere congratulations to the 34 educator preparation programs that earned #accreditation through Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) in Spring 2025! I'm also happy to share that 3 of those programs were my clients. 1/3 #AcademicSky #EduSky

100%. Cancer is a relentless, often silent killer and even if you survive, it changes your life forever. There's no room for even a syllable of unkindness toward anyone afflicted with this horrible illness.
