PERSON OF THE DAY. 9 December 2012. Eccentric TV astronomer, Patrick Moore, died, (aged 89). He presented the BBC programme Sky At Night for over 50 years, making him the longest-running host of the same television show ever. He also wrote dozens of books on astronomy.
