Your argument or politics matters less to me than your honesty and integrity.
If he really cared about Epstein he'd order an investigation - full stop. Ordering an investigation limited to your political opponents stinks of deflection, begging the question...

What exactly is Donald J Trump trying to hide?

Starmer has become the heart of the problem, rather than the solution... but who in their right mind would see Streeting as a better option?

If you guys were serious journalists and paragons of objectivity, by now we would have seen a side by side comparison of stories, complaints and corrections across Times, Telegraph, Guardian, Mail, BBC, ITN and Channel 4 news.

Please provide a link or a timescale for publication.

Always worth remembering that the battle over the BBC is, for the Telegraph, The Daily Fail, Trump and even for mainstream UK politician's of all colours, about CONTROL.

They want you to hear only their side of any narrative. They cannot abide plurality. They are, in this respect, like the TALIBAN.

Oh the irony of the BBC being accused of institutional bias by, of all people, the Telegraph which is (checks notes) institutionally bias.

Indeed if institutional bias was grounds for abolition, The Telegraph, ReformUK, and The Conservative Party would all be drinking in the last chance saloon!!

The very definition of "performance politics".

File under "Show me a politician who just wants to be loved, without saying they just want to be loved!"

What 'reform' do you have in mind?

Withdrawing the state pension from pensioners with large private pensions?

Doing value assessments on the bureacracy to see whether it saves as much as it costs?

Or maybe finding other untapped sources of revenue, such as tech companies or the super-rich?

I was brought up to believe a key British virtue was tolerance, which makes Mr Goodwin as un-British as they come.

When can I expect him to be deported?

The new series of One Otter and His Dog starts imminently..

Doesn't mean they have to use it, unless the next bulletin includes the "arrest of a 43 year old white barman who moved to the area from his native Dorset 4 years ago".

Do it for none or do it for all.

Where do the BBC get off highlighting the nationality and immigration status of a man merely being 'questioned' in the case of a stabbing victim in BBC news reporting?

Maybe I should say "racist populist BBC news reporting" to be more in line with the BBC's own current values?

Why does it matter?

Whether he is flawed is neither here or there. The important thing is whether the voting public can me made to see that he is. Still a lot of work to do.

Amazes me that the Board would approve it. What do they think Musk possesses that can't be replicated or duplicated by somebody else?

Too bloody right!

You carry on doing you. Love the content.

I look forward to Air Force One being flown by a NY Cab Driver, and the President's Protection Detail being made up of champion hotdog eaters.

How come "We should stop trusting experts" is an argument usually made by people who have no expertise.

Agreed. Any bubble will likely be financial only, but as long as the enthusiasm remains, both from developers and users, some degree of advancement is inevitable. It may slow or stall temporarily while the finances rebalance, or become more embedded, but it's definitely not going away.

Here's a thought. Who cares and why does it matter?

Why does the media revel in baseless comparative exercises whose sole purpose is to generate arguments where none existed? 🙄

One red flag for anyone supporting Reform should be the people giving them wealthy donations.

Ask yourself, why are they donating so much? What are they expecting in return, and how does that align to my values and what the party promises?

I moved from a smallish seaside town in Kent, where I barely recall regularly seeing people of colour, to do my degree in Birmingham. There I met people from so many different backgrounds, the lasting memory being they are very much like me, with many of the same problems and concerns.
