Average cost of tuition at private colleges in 2025 is around $30,000. That's $120k for 4 yrs! (Not incl. room, board, etc.)
At our college, the entire 2-year degree in video game production is $6,600.
That's about a $113,400 difference. I don't know what I'm saying, but I'm saying it.

The most recent @gamesound.bsky.social GSC2025 industry survey is out. According to the survey, 100% of new hires in game audio had a bachelors degree or higher. Essentially, no one with only an associates is getting hired. Has academic inflation found its way to game audio? 2yrs colleges, over?
