@nicollewallace.bsky.social I disagree. It’s easy to demand that the fruitless shutdown continue if you haven’t been furloghed for over a month, don’t rely on SNAP subsidies to feed your family, or aren’t among those forced to continue working in a high stress job without pay.

So many people take Star Trek as a “future history” documentary whose every detail must be obeyed rather than a story-telling platform set in the future that allows writers to explore topics that they otherwise could not.
