It's a great book, but don't go into it thinking it's anything like the movie (We don't talk about the sequels) otherwise you'll be sorely disappointed.

I know plenty of people with CBD, and while their legs do swell, I've never seen them swell to that extent. Also, there are remedies that he would have access to, such as treatment of the veins, and the highest end compression socks money can buy.

They don't have a nuke. Israel would have likely dropped that nugget of info if so to gain wide unconditional international support. And if not, major assets from Europe, and not just the states, would be getting rerouted to the region, as no one wants Iran to have a nuke.

Sure, but it's not always about scoring hits. Keeping an enemy pinned during an assault, and instilling the fear of further bombardment is just as important during operations.

MLRS systems are limited by terrain. A helo able to do the same thing can be many times more efficient as they are not reliant on road infrastructure and terrain for travel

It's apart Soviet rotary aircraft doctrine. UKR does it too. Both Syria and UKR are littered with MANPADS and AA systems on both sides. Firing rockets this way allows for Helo's to provide stand-off fire support for front line units over a wide area.

It doesn't appear the Russian forces in the theatre are doing much of anything aside from bombing the occasional target.
