I wonder how many parents (not just Moms) believe part of the “cure” for autism is to “acclimatize” the child to the situations which cause the greatest distress? Forcing social contact with new “friends” or large groups, visits to the beach (if sand/seaweed are challenging sensory experiences)… 😢
